VerifEye Wins Supply for Queensland Taxis

The Hon Paul Lucas, Minister of Transport for Queensland Government announces on Friday 9 Sept 2005 a contract for 2700 taxi cameras across Queensland.  The DualCam chosen to provide the best images available. 

Features of the system chosen include

• 2 GB storage

Announced along with the tender outcome, was the great news for the taxi operators that Queensland Transport and the major Taxi Operators including Black and White and Yellow Cabs that downloads for crimes would be FREE.  This is one of the major concerns for taxi operators and drivers elsewhere in Australia.  If a driver gets a "Runner", then insult is added to the injury as it then may cost the driver a charge to download the incident as well as the downtime to report the crime.  VerifEye commends this initiative of the Queensland Govt and the Taxi Industry.
